CYCLOCULTURAL DANUBE TOUR

Dunavski Plicak with Viaggiare i Balcani & iBikeBelgrade, are proud to present you the new cyclo-cultural journey along the Danube river.
The itinerary is approximately 200 km long, departing from the Belgrade, crossing the flatland of Vojvodina and the suggestive Danube gorge, where the majestic Danube river reaches its widest point.
The itinerary is suitable for everyone, daily trips range from 32 km to 60 km on mix roads. The guided tour is a cultural and physical activity, suitable for group of 4 to a maximum of 9 cyclists. Fix departure dates between May and September.

Individual arrival in Belgrade and night over stay at the hotel (included). According to the arrival time, there are different options to explore the city freely. We will provide suitable suggestions for tours and dinner options (not included).
2nd day - 15 km
Breakfast included at the hotel. Guided visit to the Museum of Yugoslavian History. Lunch at a traditional “Kafana”. After lunch, guided cycling tour in Belgrade along the Sava and Danube rivers. Dinner included.
3rd day - 45 km
After breakfast, short bus transport to Pancevo, where the real tour begins. The itinerary will cross small villages in Vojvodina on roads and on the dyke along side the Danube, for approximately 45km. Night over with dinner in our cyclist lodge Dunavski Plicak, short slide-show about the Danube region, from an environmental and touristic perspective.
4th day - 60 km
During breakfast, short photographic slide-show presenting the landscape of Banat. The itinerary continues on the dyke built by the Austro-Hungarian empire. After a fish based lunch in Stara Palanka, the group will cross the river with a small ferry boat. From Ram, the itinerary will continue until the accommodation in Srebrno Jezero.
5th day - 45 km
The itinerary will continue on the road along the Danube towards Dobra. Along the way the group will cross the ancient fortress of Golubac, at this point a break is mandatory to admire the massive construction on the Danube river, which reaches its widest point of 3.5km! Arrival and accommodation in Dobra.
6th day - 32 km
The last and shortest stage of the trip. Along the way towards Donji Milanovac there will be time to admire the archeological site of Lepinski Vir, a well preserved neolithic village located nearby Djerdap’s gorge. After lunch the tour will continue towards Donji Milanovac for the last night over.
After breakfast, the return to Belgrade will be arranged with a minibus. The tour ends once back in the Capital, depending on the departure time and date, participants will be left at the hotel (not included) or upon request, with a supplement fee, at the airport. The luggage will be transported along with the passengers in the minibus.

1) Individual fee: 520€ (minimum group of 4, guide by bicycle)
2) Individual fee: 550€ (minimum group of 4, guide following by car)
3) Individual fee: 500€ (for groups between 5 & 9, guide by bicycle)
The fee includes: bicycle rental for the whole duration of the trip. Daily luggage transport; night over with breakfast on site; lunch / pack lunch and dinner; entrance to museums; transport by taxi to museum 2nd day and ferry boat 4th day; transport by minivan to Pancevo 3rd day and trip back to Belgrade 7th day.
The round trip from your country. Meals during the 1st and 7th day; overnight hotel on the 7th day; drinks; Personal / group travel insurance and everything not specifically mentioned in the program.
As specified in the program, the night overs for the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th days will be in small villages with scarce tourist accommodation, hence we cannot guarantee the stay in double room for all participants, in some situations you will need to share rooms amongst more than 2 guests. Participants are advised to have international travel insurance.
